On August 27, 2023, Pastor Cory Engel resigned as Lead Pastor of Harvest Springs after 23 faithful years of serving the church. The Elder Board has charted a course moving forward, beginning with the first phase, assessing the overall ministry of Harvest Springs, and our needs moving forward. In consultation with the Interim Coach, Steve Strutz, the Elder Board is assessing the staff's roles and responsibilities to continue moving toward healthy and fruitful ministry throughout the church. Once the assessment phase is complete, the Elders Board will determine how best to navigate forward into the new and exciting season ahead for Harvest Springs. In the meantime, the Elder Board has complete confidence in the pastoral and administrative staff  and the Church to continue the current ministry at Harvest Springs.

Here's a most recent update as of September 16, 2023:

1. Paul Hansen was assigned being the "first among equals" to guide staff and church as we move ahead. Paul will maintain his current role as Executive Pastor, just as the rest of the staff will maintain their current roles, equally working together as one team. 

2. We will continue with our current staff without hiring another lead Pastor right away. We have a good staff but this time will:

• Allow for them to develop as a team, and gain a Vision for the future of our Church that a Lead Pastor can come alongside and join
• Give us a chance to assess some things like roles, responsibilities, and ministry clarification so we can equip volunteers to make events and ministries even better
• Bring about health in some areas that need attention (i.e. communication, coordination, etc.)

3. EVENTS - We see this as a great opportunity to trust God! We will continue to do Ministry/Events that we have traditionally done through the years.
